Praxis
is 'the place for people displaced', an organisation 'helping new
residents integrate into the UK both to their benefit and that of
their new community'.
The work for Praxis came about via a project which I had been doing
for the North East London Strategic Health Authority on a project
called ROSE (Refugees and Overseas Health Professionals Into Employment
within the NHS).
ROSE and Praxis
A range of
work extending the ROSE project includes a large toolkit containing
a huge amount of information assisting refugee health professionals
integrate into the NHS. A large-format
poster which highlighted the huge success of ROSE was also produced.
Both projects are shown below.
Wallchart for the National Probation Service
The most recent
project for Praxis has been a large-format wallchart on behalf
of the National Probation Service explaining the immigration
status, rights and entitlements of foreign nationals in the
UK who have differing levels of immigration status. The poster
will be used in prisons across the UK.
