Marketing agency web design: Value Engineers
How do you sell the people who sell things? Turns out, much like the differences inherent in the business offering, when it comes to marketing agency web design, it’s a question of personal style.
We’ve been working on a big website project for The Value Engineers, a strategic brand agency with offices just outside London as well as New York City. The new site is a total reimagining of how the company presents itself and it’s a project I regard as a huge success. This is down in no small part to the immensely satisfying way in which the company has embraced their new online platform.

HAND DRAWN DESIGN ON THE WEB TO THE FORE
One aspect of website design I’ve always liked very much is the idea of bringing something soft or hand-drawn to the screen. In a world of right-angles, grids and stretchy, responsive boxes, to create a gentle, decidedly unsymmetrical line is a moment of great beauty.
The project has resulted in a very structured site by virtue of necessity, but the in-house creative team, led by Guy Chalkley, has created a series of wonderful drawings which give incredible personality to the website. We saw a few of Guy’s early sketches before we began the design process and knew right away that we wanted to use them big, front and centre, and I am so pleased that’s worked out.

THE BUSY BLOG: A KEY FEATURE OF A MARKETING AGENCY WEBSITE DESIGN
Among the other key features of the website is a fantastic and busy blog, with several posts running daily from staff across the business writing about all manner of diverse topics, a series of pages explaining the wide range of services the company offers at it’s UK and US hubs – plus, of course, the new site is fully responsive, working on every platform from office wide-screen to laptop, tablet and smartphone.
The end result of the project is a really bold statement: a genuinely interesting and persuasive site which is full of information and expertise about a creative, exciting business.
