ARC Crawley

ARC – the Activity Resource Centre – in the busy Sussex town of Crawley is a new hub for people with learning disabilities.

The centre is a project devised by our long-time client Cavendish Care who are based nearby. At the core of their business is the aim to make a difference to their clients’ lives by creating opportunities and providing quality, person-centred activities.

Cavendish briefed us to create a standalone identity and website for the ARC. In response, our idea was to devise a ‘sister’ brand that used the same graphic language and colours, so that the many visitors familiar with the existing branding would immediately feel it was somewhere they recognised.

Our work for the ARC has run the gamut through almost every aspect of what we do – including branding, print, signage design and a fantastic website promoting all the activities on offer.

What we did

The ARC website

Starting from scratch, in order to actually design the ARC website we first had to define and create all the content on the site.

As a result, we’ve been involved in every aspect of this project from art directing the photography – with our long time collaborator Andy Rose behind the camera – to working on the copy by interviewing the team.

This summer the site will be expanded to include full ecommerce and this will slide over the current design as an extension of the build we’ve already completed.
