Nova Pangaea Technologies

If ever there was an example of ‘technology making a difference’, this is it. A revolutionary process turning biomass such as barkchips or straw into fuel and chemical precursors – using concentrated steam.

The project is based in Middlesbrough and funded by entities including the UK government’s Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

Our work on the project has included the creation of an extensive photographic resource for the company shot at various sites around the North East. Using this imagery, we’ve devised a completely bespoke website for Nova Pangaea which explains the Refnova process at the heart of the project as well as the team working at the company.

A particularly interesting aspect of the work has been the information graphics which run through Refnova, unpacking in clear steps how it works and the outputs and their potential uses. These were commissioned from Mexican graphic artist Francisco González y García.
