Richard Chapman Studio is a team based consultancy offering high quality graphic and web design
We’ve been working on design projects for our clients for over ten years and thrive on a challenge. We’ve often helped small businesses get going, as well as working with larger companies to help realise their full potential.
We’re proud to say that we have been nominated several times at the print industry’s Solutions Awards and our design work on the Shine School Media project has been a winner.

We believe in putting the user at the centre of the web experience, avoiding bells and whistles which distract rather than enhance their visit to your site.
We know retail.
From retail brand identity and store-front signage, point of sale and high street poster campaigns, to online booking and end-to-end e-commerce web design.
What do we mean by big print?
From big in actual size (anyone need a set of A0 posters or to wrap a van?) to big in scope (that eighty page policy report has got our name all over it).
Who we are
Following training at the (then) London College of Printing and a design degree at Goldsmiths College, Richard, imagining a future designing beautiful magazines, worked at London publications such as World of Interiors, House & Garden, Brides, Harpers & Queen, Tatler and Vogue and then in New York City at Premiere and New York magazine.
However, destiny had different plans and in 1999, he joined Conran Design Group. During his four years there he worked on clients as diverse as Shell, First Choice Holidays, The Royal Mail, Citroën, Ideal Standard and Sainsbury’s.
In 2003 he left Conran to form his own consultancy which as it has grown has become Richard Chapman Studio.
The company has gone on to design for high-profile clients such as The Royal Society of Arts, Rosewood London, St Paul’s Cathedral, The British Academy, Bulgari Hotel London, the Parliamentary Advisory group Policy Connect and high street retail chain Oddbins… as well as many clients whose names you may not recognise, but have been working with the company since its inception.
Richard never imagined starting a design consultancy, never mind employing people, so the fact that it has worked out that way continues to surprise, delight and occasionally terrify him.
Lead brand and print designer
A native Brummie, Rob joined us in the summer of 2015 following a successful stint working at brand consultancy Un.titled in Leicester.
Rob quickly made an impression on our studio with his clean design aesthetic, attention to detail and love of custom typography and large-format print design.
In his work at the studio, Rob has worked on a series of major clients including Rosewood London, Policy Connect, Rivera Employment Law, The British Academy, the Shine School Media Awards and Joost.
His love for synthesisers and the Italian disco music of the 1980s knows few bounds – he even designed a series of posters celebrating the Roland 808.
Lead brand and digital designer
Sak is from Finland originally and came to the UK to study Graphic Design at Ravensbourne. He joined us in the summer of 2017 from PriestmanGoode, specialists in the design of aircraft interiors, airports and public transport and high speed trains.
In his work at the studio, Sak has worked on brand and digital client work for clients such as Bulgari Hotel London, Taylor & Hart and Yamaha. In particular, Sak has also designed and developed the branding and web presence for financial services firm Oxford Investment Consultants from the ground up.
