MISA Group

MISA Group invests in energy and resources across Africa, building businesses that hold to an institutional standard while keeping capital and relationships in the communities where they operate.

The brand began with a logo created by Ghana designer Kwaku Opoku, drawn from traditional kente patterns. Using his work, we built outward, developing the wider identity, colour language and pattern system from the same local foundations. We then carried that language through into the new website using vector animation to bring the patterns to life and guide the user through the pages.

The site is the first surface for the identity. A PowerPoint template and printed brand collateral follow, extending the same system across every material MISA uses to meet its clients and partners.

What we did

“We commissioned Richard Chapman Studio to unify MISA Group under a single brand, applying a logo devised by a Ghanaian designer, and build a new website outward from that foundation.

“The RCS team did exactly that. They took the identity and grew it into a full system: a family of patterns, custom animation and an expanded colour language, resolved across the new site. Where I expected a logo, a palette and a website, what we got is closer to a language, one that has since spread into our presentations, our documents and internal tools.

“Richard and his team turned an identity into a corporate brand and did it in a way that felt true to how MISA itself works. We’re hugely grateful for the result.”
