We launched a much-cherished project this week: the new Montessori website design for Living Spring Nursery.
Living Spring is a nursery based in Cricklewood for whom we’ve been working this summer preparing the website. We’ve loved working with Sade and are really pleased with this end result … it’s so different from many of our other clients and to work with photos of kids jumping around has been a lot of fun.
Websites with a lot of purple aren’t our usual style, but we basically embraced the process and in so doing I think ended up with something rather wonderful.
As an introduction to the project, this graphic sort of says it all.
With bold colours, gorgeous photography of the children, it was a piece of design which gave us such a lot of pleasure.
We also imagine many of the users will be parents who don’t have a computer, so making it as accessible as possible was an important consideration. As such it’s completely responsive and works on every platform from desktop computer to tablet and of course smartphone too.
Wandering outside our comfort zone and stepping into the shoes of suburban parents with little kids was a pretty fascinating exercise.
So much so that we think it would be great to do more educational work… so any school heads who are interested… we’re ready!
